9 ACRES OF INTEREST
Within our 9 acres you’ll find newly planted fruit trees, Leighton Beck, our rose garden, and all sorts of wildlife that call this home including birds, butterflies, moths and fallow deer.
The 'Fairy Steps'
A limestone staircase above the village of Beetham - legend has it that if you ascend or descend this narrow stone staircase without touching the sides, the fairies will grant you a wish!
Arnside Knott
If you’re looking for an exciting and invigorating walk, then look no further than Arnside Knott. This stunning circular route offers spectacular views of Morecambe Bay and the surrounding countryside, including the Lake District Fells.
Silverdale Pepperpot
Take a stroll through Eaves wood and enjoy a gentle climb to Queen Victoria Jubilee Monument, a local hilltop landmark affectionately known as the 'Pepperpot'. Stop here for spectacular views of Morecambe Bay and the Bowland Fells.
WARTON CRAG
Dominated by limestone cliffs and decorated by wildflowers, Warton Crag is an enchanting walk colonised by rare butterflies and known for having nesting peregrine falcons. Its height of 163 metres (535 ft) marks the highest point in the Arnside and Silverdale AONB.
FARLETON KNOTT
A 6.1km circular trail that can be done as a hike or on mountain bike. Breath-taking views from the summits of Farleton Fell and Newbiggin Crags Limestone Pavement. Considered a moderately challenging climb but with diverse routes for a variety of activities and interests.
CROOKLANDS CANAL WALK
Part of Lancaster Canal, this walk takes in some beautiful countryside with a start/stop option at the dog friendly Crooklands Hotel. Head South along the canal and you’ll reach Greenlands Farm Village with its café and other onsite shops and attractions.
INGLETON WATERFALLS TRAIL
An extremely popular walk 8km (5 miles) long with a vertical rise of 169m (554 feet) in the English county of North Yorkshire. Take in some spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery but please note that an entrance fee is charged on this walk. Dogs are permitted.

Wildlife Oasis
A one-of-a-kind experience at the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis awaits you with its remarkable collection of over 100 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates. And it doesn't stop there – be sure to take advantage of the interactive displays for a more immersive experience!
Gait Barrows Nature reserve
Lying at the heart of the AONB, Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve is one of Britain's most significant limestone environments. With three way-marked nature trails and plenty of public footpaths why not explore this wonderful area - you never know what you might see.
RSPB Leighton Moss
Experience the magnificent wildlife that Leighton Moss has to offer. Otters, bearded tits, bitterns and marsh harriers can all be found here and it is home to the largest reed bed in north-west England.
Beetham Nurseries
Beetham Nurseries is a dream destination for green thumbs and gardening enthusiasts alike. A family-owned, independent garden centre established in 1984 you can enjoy the Outdoor Plant Area, Growing Nursery, Garden Cafe, Home and Lifestyle area and much more.
Leighton Hall
Leighton Hall is a beautiful historic house and the lived-in home of the famous Gillow furniture making dynasty. Friendly guides are waiting to show you the Hall's rich heritage, objets d’art and wonderful gardens.
Sizergh
Located near Kendal in the picturesque county of Cumbria, Sizergh House and Estate is lovingly preserved by the National Trust. Explore this medieval house, rich gardens and 1,600-acre estate.
Levens Hall
Levens Hall is a stunning privately-owned house at the heart of a 9,500-acre agricultural estate providing much of the produce for the wonderful onsite cafe, Levens Kitchen. It is also home to the world's oldest topiary gardens.
Brewery Arts
Attracting visitors from all over the world this thriving arts organisation based in Kendal has so much to offer. Cinema, live music, theatre, dance and comedy are just some of the things on offer here.

Arnside
Situated on the River Kent Estuary, Arnside is a beautiful seaside village with stunning views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells. Here you will find independent shops along the seafront, phenomenal fish and chips from The Arnside Chippy, and if you time it right you can watch the wave from the Arnside Bore as the tide begins to come in.
Silverdale
A spectacular village forming part of the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the coast on one side and stunning countryside on the other. With sandy beaches, excellent walks and lovely dining options it's a must.
Kirkby Lonsdale
Surrounded by stunning countryside, Kirkby Lonsdale is known for its breathtaking views and unique attractions. From its quaint cobbled streets to its vibrant market square, this beautiful town oozes character and charm.
Kendal
