Brackenthwaite Farm rests within the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape which is one of the most beautiful spots in the northwest of England. With holiday cottages set in ten acres of uniquely, carefully crafted land and surrounded by stunning countryside views, there is plenty for absolutely everyone to enjoy.

Each of our four fully equipped self-catering cottages provides superb comfort in a bright and contemporary setting. In addition, you will find plenty of indoor and outdoor facilities to entertain you, your family and your dogs, bringing you all a magical experience and a holiday like no other. Choose the accommodation that’s right for you. We have cottages to sleep two people, four or six. Furthermore, why not host your own celebration here with a full site booking and exclusive use, making use of our events barn which you can decorate to suit your special occasion.

Of course, being set in such a beautiful area, Brackenthwaite Farm is not short of a stunning backdrop or two for your holiday snaps and event photography. While you enjoy the scenery, including some truly wonderful views across the Lakeland fells towards the mountians of the Lake District, explore the grounds and be entertained by our resident hens and ducks, Kune Kune pigs, pet goats and sheep .
Further afield, when you step out into the local area which is in the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, you will have access to enjoy wonderful walks through woodlands, sandy beaches and hills. Next, take a trip to RSPB Leighton Moss or The Wildlife Oasis for some more nature spotting. Then why not enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake in one of many boutique cafes in Arnside where you can also visit art galleries and numerous independent shops on the shore front.

If you find that our view of the mountains is calling you, why not head north for the day to access the full beauty of The Lake District and it’s many stunning locations. From tourist favourites Bowness-on-Windermere, Ambleside and Kewsick to the quieter, less well-known hidden gems, you will have the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the many Lake District activities such walking, sailing, and sight-seeing. Simply put, the possibilities for your holiday excursions are endless.

Lancaster & Morecambe
Close to Morecambe Bay, Brackenthwaite Farm is less than 30 minutes away from the historic City of Lancaster where you can visit Lancaster Castle and The Ashton Memorial at Williamson Park – just a couple of the toursit attractions to add to your sight-seeing list. Alternatively, a walk along the promenade on Morecambe seafront, perhaps samplling some famous Morecambe Bay potted shrimp, might be more your thing. Simultaneously, you can experience stunning views across the bay. A Morecambe Bay sunset is certainly one for the bucket list!
