Set in 9 acres of enclosed private land in the Arnside & Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), just south of Lake Windermere, Brackenthwaite Holidays is a location like no other and perfect for that getaway with your best pal, your baby, your horse.
Imagine waking up each morning knowing your favourite travel companion is metres away eager to explore with you. You can enjoy your morning coffee (our very own blend) with your horse nearby in the stables or picturesque fields whilst you plan the day ahead. And with four beautiful self-catering cottages to choose from, outstanding views across to the Lake District fells and some incredible scenery on your doorstep we’re confident you and your horse will have the best time.
Our horse accommodation consists of 4 generous stables in a courtyard setting, a riding school area, 4 field enclosures for outdoor horse R&R with luscious grass and water available, plus a washing area should your horse fancy a quick shower.
There is plenty to do with your horse whilst staying with us, with 4 recognised ordinance survey (OS) walks in the immediate area and many others along bridleways, tracks and through open-access fields. Amazing beach riding is less than 3 miles away too in the charming villages of Silverdale, Arnside and surrounding areas. Finish your day back in the luxury of your holiday cottage or in front of the firepit for some added ambience and if you fancy it why not enjoy a BBQ whilst watching your horse grazing peacefully in the adjacent fields.
