If your idea of a perfect wedding looks more like a mini-festival designed for you and your favourite people to relax and enjoy the best weekend you have ever spent together, then Brackenthwaite Farm was made for you.
From the first pizza around the wood-fired oven on Friday evening to the last dance under the stars in the Orchard, we have joined up with a team of expert partners to ensure a Brackenthwaite Farm Wedding Weekend can bring you everything you could possibly want for a festival style wedding.
The Farm
Brackenthwaite Farm is set in ten acres of the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, just south of the Lake District. Owners Matthew and Harry have created something genuinely special. From the moment you arrive, the love and care they have taken with the farm, cottages, grounds, and the animals, is obvious.
The Cottages
Four self-catering cottages that together accommodate up to 18 people, including The Dairy, which is a superb sleep-two property for the wedding couple. Each property is furnished, decorated, and maintained to a high standard, and all are located within close proximity to one another and the main facilities on the farm, making them ideally suited for your nearest and dearest.
The Long Barn
The Long Barn is a beautifully converted space that can be dressed however you want it – a ceremony for 45, dinner for 80, a party for 100. The bi-folding doors open onto The Courtyard, so inside and outside blend into one another naturally.
The Courtyard
Secure and wonderfully flexible, The Courtyard can be whatever your day calls for. Seating for guests to linger over drinks, a tipi, entertainment, food and drinks vans — or simply somewhere for people to breathe, wander, and enjoy being together. If you’ve always imagined saying your vows outside, this is a beautiful spot for that too.
The Rose Garden
Abundant with colour from spring through to autumn, The Rose Garden is where the weekend tends to really begin. The wood-fired pizza oven lives here, and on the first evening it becomes the natural gathering point – your closest people around the flames, drinks in hand, making their own pizzas while the sun changes colour over the fells.
The Orchard
Two and a half acres with fruit trees lining the perimeter, a children’s play area safely tucked into one corner, and room for dogs to properly run. For larger celebrations the Orchard can take a tipi for up to 130 guests, and when the sun goes down the in-ground fire pit becomes the heart of the evening — a place to gather, tell stories and welcome the stars.
The Animals
The Brackenthwaite animals are part of the family. Two sheep, two goats, two alpacas, four miniature pigs, hens, ducks, and geese – all named and full of personality, and all completely at home with guests. If you’d like your rings delivered by alpaca or pig, or a release of white doves the moment you say “I do”, that can be arranged.

Your closest people arrive. The wood-fired pizza oven fires up in the Rose Garden. Drinks are poured. The sun sets over the Lakeland fells in every colour imaginable.

Guests gather around the firepit in the 2½-acre Orchard. Real flames, shared stories, dancing spilling out under the lights. The night goes on as long as you want.
