From the characterful Long Barn in the central courtyard to the outdoor spaces around the farm, the brochure gives you a better idea of how you could use Brackenthwaite for your ceremony, celebrations, food, gathering, and dancing.

With plenty of flexibility, you can start thinking about how the different spaces could work for your guest list and the kind of wedding you want to create.
We’ve included capacities and key information about our different and unique areas around the farm to help you choose the best options for you.

Work out where everyone could stay

A wedding at Brackenthwaite Farm is more than just ‘one day and it’s gone’.

With four cottages on the farm sleeping up to 18 guests, you can bring some of your favourite people a little closer to the celebrations — whether that’s making a weekend of it with family and friends or simply having somewhere special to stay after the dancing comes to an end. There’s room to arrange some camping too if you’d like more guests to stay over – just ask.

As always at Brackenthwaite Farm, your four-legged guests are also welcome. We’re well equipped for dogs and horses, and we also have some resident animals including pigs and alpacas that you and your guests can meet and enjoy the company of. They’re all pets and super friendly!

Start thinking about your suppliers

Once you’ve chosen a venue, the next question is often: who do we need to make it happen?

We’ve included some of our own recommended suppliers in the brochure to give you a starting point, from the people who can help with food and drink to those who can bring your styling, flowers, music, and other wedding particulars to life.

You don’t have to have your whole wedding planned from Day 1. Think of it as a helping hand as you begin building your team and your dream!

Get an idea of how your day could flow

Sometimes it’s easier to picture your wedding when you can see how the day might actually unfold.

We hope the brochure gives you an idea of what a Brackenthwaite wedding could look like, from welcoming guests with drinks in The Courtyard, and getting dressed and prepped with your entourage in our fabulous Cottages, saying “I do” in a beautifully decorated Long Barn or in a specially erected, styled and decorated marquee in The Orchard, or just simply being outside among meadow grass and the abundance of nature, through to a festival-style feast, dancing under the stars, and winding down after a superb celebration with your bests around the crackle of the firepit.

We’d like to inspire you, not to tell you how your day should be. Your wedding can be as relaxed, sociable, adventurous, or completely unconventional as you want it to be. And it can be for just a handful of your closest family and friends up to 150 guests for the evening celebrations. It’s entirely up to you!
